Quick answers
Four-Ball Match Play FAQ
Is Four-Ball the same as a scramble?
No. In Four-Ball, every golfer plays their own ball. A scramble team repeatedly chooses one ball and both players continue from that spot.
Why is Four-Ball called Best Ball?
The lower score from the 2 partners is the side's score for the hole, though official terminology uses Four-Ball.
Can Four-Ball be played as Nassau?
Yes. Two fixed teams can play separate front, back and overall Four-Ball matches.
